
To continue supporting our wonderful regional bakeries, we are pleased to announce that frozen pie entries are now accepted across all pie competition categories in the Bread & Pastry Competition.
This update provides greater flexibility for entrants travelling from regional areas, ensuring more bakers have the opportunity to showcase their products.
How to Submit Frozen Pie Entries
Entrants should follow the standard baking process, then:
- Bake pies as per usual requirements
- Allow pies to cool completely
- Place cooled pies into bags
- Label each item with your Perth Royal Food Awards Exhibit Labels (provided after entry submission)
- Freeze pies once labelled
When ready for delivery:
- Pack pies in a sturdy delivery box
- Include sufficient ice packs to keep pies frozen and chilled in transit
- Send via courier or Australia Post
Judging Process
All frozen pies will be fully thawed and warmed prior to judging, with the same judging criteria applied to both fresh and frozen entries.

Please submit three (3) pies per entry
Important Delivery Information
Frozen pie entries must be delivered on Monday, 22 June to allow sufficient time for controlled thawing prior to judging.
